The
National Lighting Bureau (NLB)
is a nonprofit organization
founded in 1976 to educate lighting decision-makers
about the bottom-line benefits they can derive for
their organizations-whether industrial, commercial,
retail, or institutional-by specifying High-Benefit
Lighting.
High-Benefit
Lighting helps accomplish the mission of the
organization that installs it. It is electric
illumination that produces the best practically
possible "seeing conditions" for the
tasks, people, and spaces involved. High-Benefit
Lighting helps people perform their sight-dependent
tasks faster, with fewer errors, and more
comfortably, all while minimizing energy consumption
and the cost of lighting system operation and
maintenance.
The
(NLB)
is sponsored by professional
societies, trade associations, manufacturers, and
agencies of the federal government.
